  2.   OK, folks we have the first week's stats.  First, I apologize 
  3. for the delay.  We have also included the rosters (official) when
  4. the teams broke camp.
  5.  
  6.   I want to announce that we are in deep work on version 2.0.  We
  7. hope to have it available completely by season's end and will release
  8. a little of it here and there as it becomes more workable for your
  9. opinions.  Anyone wanting to Beta test it for us will receive the new
  10. upgrade absolutely FREE in exchange.  Just leave me a message or one
  11. to the programmer, Nick Costanza.  Nick will be logging onto the
  12. board shortly for your input for version 2.0.  Now, let's get
  13. started!

  15. OK, we have a couple of new expansion teams so you will need to
  16. add them to your MAJOR LEAGUE TEAM NAMES.  Use FLO for the Florida
  17. Marlins and COL for the Colorado Rockies.  We want you to
  18. DELETE both your PLAYER.DAT and PLAYER.IDX files that you 
  19. currently have in your STATMAN directories.  Make sure you do not
  20. have ANY Rotisserie League rosters, stats, transactions, either.  We
  21. want to completely REBUILD the database from scratch.  If you have
  22. tinkered with STATMAN by adding the rosters, etc., we ask that 
  23. you delete them and let the weekly STATS build the database for you.
  24. STATMAN will do the database automatically each week.
  25.  
  26.   You may want to keep track of your league for the first couple
  27. of weeks on paper....as long as it takes to get everyone on the roster
  28. to actually acquire some stats.  Once they get stats, STATMAN will be
  29. automatically updated with the new information about that player.
  30. Players on the rosters that are on the D/L will NOT be added to the
  31. database UNTIL they actually come off and acquire some stats.  All
  32. you have to do is do your draft, transactions, etc., by hand for the 
  33. first couple of weeks.  Once the rosters are COMPLETE, you can go
  34. back in and actually redo the draft INSIDE of STATMAN, then enter
  35. all the transactions, rotisserie rosters, etc.  STATMAN will 
  36. automatically update everything from the beginning of the season.

  38.   After you delete the PLAYER.DAT and PLAYER.IDX, go into configuration
  39. and make SURE the dates of the season reflect the following:

  41.      Season Start Date:  04/11/93
  42.      Season End Date:    10/03/93
  43.  
  44. NOTE:  It is IMPERATIVE that these dates are entered BEFORE your run the
  45. STATS into STATMAN.
  46.  
  47.   That's basically all there is to it...go ahead and enter the STATS 
  48. automatically.  When you run it, STATMAN will STOP on each name and 
  49. tell you it's a new player being added...just hit the enter key all 
  50. way through.  Next week, it will bypass these players and ONLY stop
  51. when a NEW player is added.

  60. We will also try to upload them to Canada Remote for our Canadian
  61. friends.  After the first 4 weeks, though, you will have to call
  62. back down here for the stats.
